Research supports the effectiveness of telehealth counseling for many presenting concerns. It may not be appropriate for all situations — this will be discussed during the intake process.
Yes. Sessions are conducted via a HIPAA-compliant, encrypted video platform. Your privacy is protected in the same way as in-person sessions.
If you experience technical issues during a session, we'll work together to resolve them. Having a backup plan — like a phone number to call — is a good idea.
Telehealth sessions require a private, quiet space where you can speak freely. A car can work if it provides sufficient privacy. Public spaces are generally not appropriate.
You must be physically located in Florida at the time of each session. If you're traveling or temporarily out of state, please contact us to reschedule.
Telehealth services are available to clients located in Florida only. Services are not available in states where the provider is not authorized to practice. Telehealth may not be appropriate for all clinical situations.
