Anxiety Counseling · Orlando & Longwood, FL
Counseling for people who are tired of overthinking, dreading what's next, and never fully relaxing.
Practical, evidence-based anxiety counseling in Orlando and Longwood — in-person and via telehealth throughout Florida.
It's exhausting to live in your own head.
You replay conversations. You anticipate problems before they exist. You know, logically, that you're probably fine — but your body hasn't gotten the message. Sleep is hard. Relaxing feels impossible. And the worry doesn't stop just because you tell it to.
Anxiety isn't weakness. It's a nervous system that learned to stay on high alert — often for very good reasons. Counseling helps you understand where that pattern came from, interrupt it when it's not serving you, and build a life that doesn't feel like constant bracing for impact.
What we work on together.
Worry & overthinking
Identifying the thought loops that keep you stuck and learning to engage with uncertainty without spiraling — not by eliminating worry, but by changing your relationship to it.
Physical symptoms
Tension, racing heart, shallow breathing, stomach issues. We address the body's role in anxiety and build regulation skills that work in real time.
Avoidance patterns
Anxiety grows when we avoid the things that trigger it. We work through avoidance gradually and intentionally, building tolerance and confidence.
Perfectionism & control
The need to get everything right, prepare for every outcome, and never let anything slip. We examine what's underneath the drive to control.
Social anxiety
Fear of judgment, difficulty in groups, replaying interactions afterward. We work on the beliefs driving social anxiety and build genuine confidence.
Anxiety in relationships
Anxious attachment, fear of abandonment, conflict avoidance, people-pleasing. We address how anxiety shows up in your closest relationships.
Evidence-based, not one-size-fits-all.
Anxiety counseling here draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. These are among the most well-researched treatments for anxiety — and they work because they address both the thought patterns and the nervous system responses that keep anxiety going.
The goal isn't to eliminate anxiety entirely — some anxiety is useful. The goal is to stop letting it run your life. Sessions are collaborative, practical, and paced to what you can actually work with.
Working with someone who's direct about it.
I work with adults dealing with anxiety in all its forms — generalized worry, social anxiety, panic, perfectionism, and the anxiety that shows up inside relationships. My approach is practical and honest. We'll figure out what's actually driving it and build real strategies, not just coping tips.
